The world population will pass 7 billion this week. Here is a great website for discussing everything related to world population from infant mortality rates to life expectancy. There is an interactive map and a video to use for discussion and tons of data to use for comparison. Behavior Management Made Easy!

I stumbled across this amazing little tool this morning via a blog entitled Mindshift. It's FREE and pretty handy, I must say. In short, it allows you to set up a class and track student behaviors, both positive and negative. I know this might be a useful tool for those students who need some help and encouragement adapting to the classroom and social expectations we have at WCS. While it seems a bit juvenile, MS teachers can set up accounts by grade level for all teachers to use to track tardies and missing homework for select students as a team. The neat thing is you can set up your smartphone to access the site remotely to make it even easier to use. You can see your class (or grade) as a whole and generate reports for individuals to share with parents. It's really an amazing site... Richard Byrne is the author of probably, in my opinion, the most useful technology blogs for teachers on the planet.
